Chinese New Year

Happy Lunar New Year!

We hope that this year, the year of the Rat, brings you fortune, love, health, and all  things positive. This year, we felt that it was important to celebrate Chinese New Year with everyone. On January 25, 2020, we celebrated in a fun and positive way!

Highlights

We did a story time with the little ones in order to teach them a little bit about Chinese New Year. In addition to story time, the kids had fun doing their craft! For this event, the kids had the opportunity to make a lantern that looks like a Rat, since this year is the year of the Rat. We also had wonderful decorations all over and a backdrop for photos, that way we can remember this day forever! To tie everything together, we encouraged everyone to wear red. Red is symbolic in the culture for luck and good fortune. We hope 2020 is filled with good fortune, love, health, and more!

Sponsors

Panda Express in Downey donated fortune cookies, fried rice, chow mein, and red envelopes for our wonderful event! Pick Up Stix in Downey donated fortune cookies and vouchers. A huge thank you goes out to these sponsors for helping us make this event possible.

Thank You

Thank you to everyone who came and supported our event. So far 2020 has been an amazing year and we can't wait to see what more is to come. We hope to see you all again soon!
